so I have a Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 motherboard
with Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 running I assume dual channel.

cpu amd fx 8350
psu evga 850 watt
gpu r9 380x

can I get another pair of same ram as stated above and add it to my build (to make it 16gb). is there any benefits to this?

Solution
You can try, no guarantee the new DRAM and the old will play nice - even if you geet another of the same exact model of DRAM. Only way to know is to try, always best to get a full set of the amount you want/need in a single package that's tested and guaranteed to play.....if you try and have problems, give a shout and we can try timing/voltage adjustments.

Benefits will depend on how the rig is used, if you use large data sets, memory hungry apps, multi-task, etc...then yes 16GB can improve overall performance ;)
