It is a Netgear WNA3100 N300 Wireless USB Adapter. It was working fine last night, but I started my computer up and it was working for about 5 minutes before it stopped. Now it is showing that there are no connections available, except there are usually 10+ around me.

I don't know is a related problem, but I tried restarting my computer but it got stuck on the shutting down screen for about 5 minutes. This might be bad, but I forced it to shut down and I turned it back on. The same thing occurred. Wifi worked for about 5 minutes and then stopped. I restarted my computer, same thing.

I saw that I should try uninstalling the drivers for it, but it's been stuck in the "Uninstalling devices..." for about 15 minutes now.

I don't know what is happening. Any thoughts?

Edit: alright so now I've uninstalled the drivers, rebooted, and reinstalled. Same thing is happening.

Solution
Try restarting your router (unplug from mains, wait 10 secs. then plug it back in).

Then wait until router settles down (all lights showing correctly) before trying to use USB adapter.
