Should I buy one of those Indoor Humidity Monitor or is it a waste of money?

Consider this, the monitor tells you that the humidity is too high or low, what are you going to do about it ? Is it worth spending the money to control the humidity (someone is sick and needs a controlled environment or there is equipment that needs a controlled environment).

In the winter time it gets too dry in your house due to air outside of your house being pulled into your house and heated up. The Indoor Humidity Monitor would either have to hoked up to a automated humidifier or you have to boil water on a stove. You can tell when it is too dry in your house by the static electricity you make or how dry your skin is.

In the summer time if it gets too humid in your house you will feel sticky and hot. A forced air conditioner...

They are cheap but really you don't need it. You can tell if humidity is off by feeling. You could always make it into a project for some decoration but that might be better with an analog one. A cheap digital one is quite a bit uglier for doing that.

I guess I really don't need it.
The only benefit I could think of is knowing when the best time for upgrading my Rig or building one.
Is it worth the money in the end, I guess not.
