Hello, I have a MSI MS-7267 945GCM5 FSB 1333 motherboard, and I want to know if it can support Intel xeons.

It uses an Intel 945G chipset which is not compatible with core 2 quads, the Xeon is based off of the core 2 quad though.

On the MSI website, it says that the maximum CPU the mobo can handle is a core 2 duo e6700, which is really strange, because my mobo is running a core 2 duo e8400, on CPU-upgrade.com, it says that my
mobo can use an Xeon, I've verified that my exact mobo is on the cpu support website since it shows the core 2 duo e8400 on the support list, but not MSI's support list, I'm really stumped here. Can anybody help?

EDIT: here's the CPU support list

Solution
You can use it. I've checked your link. CPU-UPGRADE uses real life data. If it said your mobo will support 'XEON' it means it will support it.

Don't listen to MSI they try to play safe. If you wanna upgrade it, upgrade it. :) ;)

Solution
It DOES support xeon chips, but you should NOT consider the set. Currently you can purchase a intel i3 4330 chip and motherboard for under $200, and it will outperform even the quad core Q6600 from that era. Your current motherboard is far too old to rely on.

no, it's not too old to rely on, this computer runs all my games just fine, like GTA V, i get around 40-60 FPS on high settings.

are you sure? i checked everywhere, and people are saying that Intel 945g chipsets do NOT and never will support quad core CPU's and the xeon is a quad core.
