So for some time I believed that RAM clock speed made very little difference to FPS/performance. I also found out that dual channel again leads to very little increased performance over single channel despite the marketting.

Thus, I bought a single stick of Corsair 1600 mhz LP @ C9.

Now the stick has arrived. And now I find out that 2133 DDR3 can give you a very fair 6-7 FPS performance boost.

Do I send this stick back. OR is it possible to OC it up to 2133. And push it up to CL11 or something.

Z68? A 3570k on a non Z motherboard would be very silly of me :)

Or Z77. But hypothetically, would OC'ing this ram be a very bad idea and lead to data corruption everywhere. I once wrecked my boot OS like this. Or are all DDR3 modules 1600, just the faster rated ones OC'd at the factory tested with hacked XMP's?
