I just got a 600W psu and installed that along with my new GTX 960 graphics card. I also did a clean install of window 7 on my pc as well before this. When I turn the computer on, the screen is blank. But when I take out the power from the video card, the PC boots up.

My motherboard is Asus A55bm-A/USB3.The onboard video is AMD Radeon HD 7660D. I am also currently downloading 229 updates since its a fresh install.

Also, when I go to install the driver for the video card I get,"NVIDIA Installer Cannot Continue - This Graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware", which I guess tells me that it needs for the video card to be installed and working before installing it? Please let me know if you can help me, I've been going crazy over this.

What is the brand and model of the power supply? Remove the add-on card, run all updates, check for updated chipset and BIOS for the motherboard install those. Then try the new card again. Don't mess around with the card being in the system without power attached to it, either run it with power cords or remove it from the slot.

After about 2 hours of updates(thats a conservative estimate), I am still trying to get this to work. I also get this when I first load the EVGA Program in try to install my vid card"Same or higher version of .NET Framework 4 has already been installed on this computer." It shows this at the begining when I try to install video drivers.

The power support is a Thermaltake TR2 600W power supply. Do just disable to AMD Radeon HD 7660D onboard video card from the Device Manager? What do I do after that. I'm getting a bit of the lag in video right now when I move around the box of a program, why is that?

EDIT: The Bios is ASUS UEFI BIOS Utility - EZ Mode
Buis Versuib:2102

I don't know how to disable to onboard in Bios, I'm gonna restart now and get back to you with my bios information. THanks so much for all the comments so far, I really appreciate it alot.

Okay, so I solved 1 problem and gained another. I disabled the current onboard video card and plugged in the new video card and put the power on it. I then restarted the pc. After that I took out 1 of my ram( I have 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance ram) and restarted my pc with both the VGA(The DVI to VGA Connector) as well as the USB connection in the new video card. It powered up and everything.

But now I have 2 questions. Will my video card run correctly after installation with both of the corsair vengeance ram in? Could my ram be going bad?

Also, I tried updating the bios to the latest firmware, but I am getting a read security error. Any reason for this. You've been a great help so far.

Okay so I answered my own question on the ram, lol. I reinstalled the 4gb stick and everything seems to be working fine. Forget updating the bios at this point, since there is no need to. Thanks so much!

Wait a second, what USB connection in the new video card? Do you maybe mean Display Port or HDMI? Do you have two video cords going from the card to your monitor? If you are, don't, that will just cause issues.
