Best memory config

I'm currently using MSI- Z97-G45 GAMING motherboard and wanted to buy some new RAM. I'm looking at getting 16 GB and probably G-SKILL but there's so many to choose from and which speed is the best for gaming? Now which set of memory would you consider pairing for best gaming performance with this motherboard?

you wont see any discernable difference with different ram configs in gaming unless its for some odd reason, any standard two stick config in dual channel mode will work just fine

What CPU? That'll be the determining factor in what you can run.For primarily gaming, 1866/2133/2400 is the sweet spot area for price/performance. With games utilizing DRAM more and better, the higher data rates can show improvement, Fallout 4 is one that you see good jumps in performance with faster DRAM

I'd go 2133 or 2400, the 2400 and higher may require a bit of an OC to the CPU to run full spec
