Unfortunately no. Most static that fries components is weak. I have never fried anything and I don't use an anti static wriststrap but you should, I just live in a remarkably static free environment and am lucky.

Just make sure you touch something metal while your building it like the case serves the same purpose but no you probably won't feel it.

Most people use their power supply to earth themselves, power it up, and just touch it once in a while. It will remove any static discharge

never used a static strap in my life, never fried anything. Just take off your socks or any other classic static generating clothing items like a wool sweater. And touch something metal or the PSU to discharge anything you might have built up.
