Hi all,

I am looking to build a low power gaming rig (under 250 watts), I understand this is not ideal and I could get a more ideal setup by a higher power configuration. Anyways I have identified that I can stay under my wattage limit by using an i5-6600T 2.7GHz (similar benchmark to an i5-3570 3.4GHz according to https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html) as well as a GTX 970. My question is plain and simply would my cpu bottleneck my gpu?

Thanks,

Solution
No it won't bottleneck a 970. All 4 cores can turbo up to 3.3ghz so it would be fine. It would still be stronger than a typical AMD FX.
