Need advice on computer running very slowly. Have Vista and main problem is emails and apps taking up to 15 seconds to display. All videos I play are continually buffering for 30 second or more and sometimes they stop completely. Then pick up where they left off about a minute later. Have all kinds of PC clean-up software I've purchased, plus anti-virus programs that run often. No viruses ever detected.

Those PC clean up software just about never work, and are mainly ways of getting more spyware on your computer or getting you to pay money for something that does not need to be done or can be done for free.

You also do not want to have more than one anti-virus program running on the system either, so if you have anti-virus "programs" as in more than one, you should uninstall all but one.

What are your system specs, brand / model of PC, CPU, RAM amount? When was the last time Windows was installed clean?
