ild i tried back in 09 and it ended miserably, paid about $700 on parts and thought i knew what i was doing, ended up putting everything together and something happened that friend my brand new motherboard, my new cpu and my pre existing HDD i was using (which still powers up but wont read, still needing data off of it 7 years later).
With my taxes coming in, i thought it was time to tackle this endeavor once more, this time putting more money and patience into it and asking the experts what my options are. I think i have about a $2500 budget on hardware and have assembled a list of items from amazon that id like to run, read the reviews, everything seems to be find, but before laying down that much money id like to know if im doing the right thing here. my list is as follows:
AMD FX-8370 black edition 8 core AM3+ 4.3ghz 125w 16mb FD8370FRHKBOX
NZXT Kraken X61 280mm all in one liquid cooling system
ASUS TUF SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 ATX MB
Corsair AXi Series AX1200i fully modular 80+ plat power supply
EVGA geforce GTX 980ti ACX 2.0+ with backplate
Kingston HyperX FURY 2x8gb 1600mhz DDR CL10 DIMM
Samsung 850 evo 1 tb 2.5 inch sata internal ssd
asus 24x dvd-rw serial ata internal oem optics drive
windows 10 home
and finally the case i choose was the NZXT ATX mid tower CA-H442W-RA a razer inspired case
i am deathly afraid im going to order these parts and something mess up, i wanted a good running gaming and media pc, that will hopefully be on top of current games for at least another 5 years, i dont mind replacing parts every now and then. Ive done the reading, the watching of videos, and have been compiling this list for over a month now and think ive finally got it where i want it, so now i ask the experts, will this build run? will it run good? and ive never went with AMD before so do i have a limited life expectancy from this CPU? Im sorry for the large amount of text any and all comments are appreciated, thank you in advance
