So for the past few weeks ive been using my apple headphones on my PC with windows 8.1OP for speaking to my girlfriend on skype as we live a wee bit away from each other, and they were working fine! but then one day i just went and plugged them in and they werent being considered as a recording device anymore. i do have 2 jacks on the front of the PC one Headphones and one Mic, and id usually just put them in the headphone one because obviously id have to be able to hear what my girlfriend was saying and it would still work with the mic. I just dont understand why it suddenly wont work. Any ideas? ive spent ages looking at the recording devices and its saying that everything but the webcam microphone isnt plugged in, now i would use that to speak but its hard for anyone to understand because the quality of the sound it really quite bad. Its just so frustrating..
will it just be the case of having to buy a splitter to fit into both jacks or is this just some sort of fault?
