I'm thinking of buying the processor as its on offer but I'm not sure if it will fit my motherboard help me ?my mothervboard is a gigagbyte F2A78M AND I WAS WONDERING IF THE AMD FX 6300K SIX CORE PROCCESSOR WOULD FIT

there is no fx 5300k. if you meant he fx6300 then no, that one will not even fit in your motherbd.

No, it won't work since it's fm socket motherboard and the processor is am3+. I would recommend getting a 860k and calling it a day.
