compatiblity memory asus formula 5 extreme 1155

hey all

i have a big doubt with rams
i have right now:

intel i7 2600 non k

asus rog formula 5 extreme 1155

with 4gb of memory

kingston hyper x blu 1600 2x2 gb

i want to buy more ram to my system

i want this modules:

hyperx fury 1600 4gb

4x2gb

any issues with the rams already installed?

i want to buy 2 of the 4x2(8gb)

to have in total 12gb with the 2 modules of 2gb (2x2gb)
to have in total 12gb of ram

any issues with the system?

The ram cards have no guarantee to work together. I would recommend getting ram that was bought in the same retail package to avoid compatibility issues.

my rams 2gbx2 they dont sell it anymore where i live :/
so if i buy the 8gb and put in the mother those sticks?

+1 Get the 2x4GB that way you have 8GB, can try adding the old but don't hold your breath, the Hyper X Blue you have are standard XMP based DRAM where the Fury run off PnP - they don't have an XMP profile so will be very hit or miss to mix the two sets

As ak47jar3d said - it's not a good idea to mix and match DRAM - even with packages of the same exact model - there are no guarantees they will play
