Thinking of upgrading from my old Gtx 670FTW! to a GTX 980 ti?

Im wanting to buy a gtx980 ti and wanted to know if my pc can run the card

Cpu Intel Core i5 4670 @ 3.40
Ram 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799mhz
MotherBoard MSI H87-G43 (ms-7816)
my power supply is going to be a EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 thanks.

Your system will be able to run it.

You may exsperience CPU bottlenecking in some games. Games like Fallout 4 or poorly optimised games. But a game like Witcher 3 will run it without any issues.

Hey there. Yes your computer will be able to run it, probably you will notice that the performance wont be as good as the benchmarks you saw online. The reason for that is because the cpu might be a bottleneck. That is not a problem, the performance wont just be as good as it could be. But to be honest, I do not believe that your system would be bottleneck. You should totally do the upgrade, you will more than probably be able to run all of the games you could think in ultra settings depending on the resolution of course.

I am pretty sure that nothing will bottleneck your system, but if you notice that you are not getting the same performance as other people with the same gpu, just upgrade the cpu

@xKAMAx, why don't you just upgrade the GPU and CPU...

* Sell the used i5-4670; generally see it selling for $140 - $180.
* Buy the new i7-4790k; Micro Center sells it new for $299.99 via local pickup. Ebays sells is used for less than $250.
* Buy Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler; $25 - $30
