So this is one of my current builds. I dont know much about PSU's however I choose the CX430 and at $20 USD it has lasted 6 months with everything listed on the link minus the second stick of ram. No complaints at all and if it died tomorrow it has definitely done its job. Anyway I am just looking for some opinions on power supplies and why you chose one over the other.

Wondering how economical it is in regards to the electric bill at the end of the month?

What is the warranty like? How is the manufacture customer service? Overall reliability? Does it like being run 24/7 for extended periods of time (days, weeks, months...)etc

I want to stay ready for potential upgrades aswell, adding a new motherboard, more ram, more optical drives, SLI/crossfire support, etc.

A big factor is reliability and safety. Higher quality units should be less prone to failure and have added safety features which help prevent damage to the rest of the PC if a PSU does fail. The CX range are low quality units with a bad reputation for failing and when they fail they can damage other components. That said the 430 comes out as best in the reviews of that range but that is no great accolade.
