Dear tomshardware,
My laptop had a slight cooling issue. Under heavy load it just shuts down(gaming without cooling pad, with cooling pad it was fine). I decided to clean it, took it apart, cleaned, put it back together, and it didnt fix the issue. Now i got arctic silver 5, and took everything apart just like in the tutorial, cleaned off the heatsink and cpu and gpu, and applied a rice grain sized blob on the processor and half that on the gpu because its smaller, and put everything back together. My problem starts here. The laptop turned on but the screen didnt. Turned off the laptop, checked the screen connector to the board, and tried again. This time the fan didnt turn on either, just the power button light. Turned it off instantly and checked the connectors again. And again everything worked except for the screen.
I didnt take any wrong steps, so its a bit wierd.
Any tips will be really helpful.
