i own a toshiba satellite l655-s5096. it comes with a intel pentium and a wopping 3gb of ram.
i would like to change the memory to 8gb and cpu, and maybe a ssd anyone know what should I get .

More RAM would maybe work
Any new CPU you could put in it (if possible) probably would not be any great improvement

You should get a whole new laptop. This one is already 6+ years old.

i own a year old desktop i5 4690k 16gb 2tb hdd gtx 960 and that is my first computer so I want to make it faster

OK...you have a good desktop, and a 6+ year old laptop.
Why are you wanting to put money into the laptop to make the laptop 'faster'?
