Hey,
Planning to buy this Kingston memory with these specs: 32GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM (Kit of 4) XMP HyperX Savage
I have a ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 Mobo and an i7-2600K CP
From what i've ready, these should be compatible, but wanted to double check here before spending $150 or so. And thought it's better to "waste" someone's 5 minutes on a forum than a couple of days with couriers and papers in case they aren't compatible.
On my current system i have some ( 4x4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL11 ), but i just need more than 16GB RAM, so this new memory is at least as good as my old one, right ? Understood that, at the same freqency, the lower is that CL, the better ( though the performance boost would be almost neglictible ).
in conclusion, wanted to double check the memory is compatible and also if it is indeed a slight upgrade compared with what i had ( i'm not sure because of that Non-ECC and the way it would impact gaming). Thanks in advance for your answers !
