What build is better?

Solution
Neither. For gaming, an I5 is a better option unless you really need the multi-threaded benefits of the 6300, which if just gaming you don't. Power supply is poor quality.

Is the quality of the psu that important, huh didnt think about that, for a budget build what do you reccomend? and i5, got it thank you

Yep quality of the PSU is the most important thing. It's the heart of your system. You can read about the most important quality points of a PSU here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2958896/guide-low-quality-power-supply.html

This is good quality:

I wouldn't recommend a I5 for this budget, especially since the budget options aren't overclockable. I would suggest to go for a fx-8320(just an underclocked 8350).

I've updated the psu and processor for both, for some reason intel was not available for either when i tried to change processor but this one may be more suitable.

I disagree, I think he should get an I5 since it has much stronger single core performance even at lower clock rates. But, agree to disagree.

Your new PC!

That is what I recommend and for slightly less than the other.

Better features:

Bigger(And Better!)PSU for upgrade ability
An FX-8320 for gread overclocking(I would suggest a closed loop water cooler for great OC, mine runs at 4.8 with a LEPA Aquachanger 240)
A better looking case(with side panel)
A nice black and blue theme!
A stronger overall GPU! (More V-RAM!)

Thermaltake Smart M are very poor quality PSUs. They are Tier 4.

EDIT: PSU CHOICE CHANGED

I see mine as better because it is more bang for your buck and is cheaper than yours. And the 970 isn't on par with the 390. The 390 comes with 8 GB of v-ram which will help with gaming at higher resolutions.

Bang for the buck? The PSU is poor quality, so if the hard drives get fried from poor 5V rail ripple, that costs money for a HDD replacement. A 390 can easily be swapped into my build for the same cost as the 970. The I5 is far stronger than the FX CPU, with that comes higher-frequency DDR4 memory.

And if you look at benchmarks, the 970 has similar FPS to a 390, sometime seating it, sometimes vice versa. The VRAM does not help unless it is needed, and as I said, a 390 can be inserted into my build easily.
