1) How long do you think this will last? 2) What do you guys think of the build?

Solution
Sweet! It SHOULD keep you happy for a fair amount of time - how long depends on you. Some will be quite happy for 2-3 years with it as is, others will be clamoring for another GPU in SLI or going for the next high end card that is released :)

Every component has a useful life expectancy. If you think about the old pentiums or athlons, even the most powerful cpus of that time are relatively slow now. Gpus like the GT series or x1600, which were top of the line then, are seriously under powered now. What you are looking at is a 6 core, overclockable, Intel powerhouse of a cpu and arguably the most powerful gpu in a 980ti. Both those are going to be good for years before software makes them obsolete. With DX12 etc around the corner, somewhere, that's going to make better use of multiple cores and gpus even stronger. So as strong as your components are, the warranties will be long gone, and the components themselves so old and worn out, long before they are as obsolete as pentiums and athlons are now.

If you arent going to over clock it, you might want to ditch the water cooling and go with a Cryorig R-1 Ultimate.

And as the poster above said, it will last a long time. Hopefully long enough for the 5960K to become affordable and then you can upgrade to 8 cores.

Ohh OK I see what your saying. Im planning on keeping this build for a pretty long time, and just upgrading it down the line when I need to, which hopefully wont be to soon.
