Hi,

I am going to buy a new GPU son, and i need to know which one is the best one for me. My price range is 120 ish to 170 ish. My MOBO is a MSI 970A-G43. I kinda want a AMD card because it will be combined with my CPU (amd fx 6300). I am looking to play games like: Fallout 4 (60 FPS at high or something), GTA V (60 FPS at MED), Minecraft with shaders (30 FPS), etc.
Thanks

Those are the best gpus for the price although 140 and 215 arn't great performance per dollar 150 is best performance per dollar but 170 i would recommend most for future proofing

Here is an r9 280 from amazon, I'd seriously only consider a 3GB or greater card for 1080P.

http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Mini-Displayport-PCI-Express-Graphic-GV-R795WF3-3GD/dp/B007581QHG/ref=sr_1_31?ie=UTF8&qid=1454659436&sr=8-31&keywords=r9+280

I see the 380 is jist above that as is the 4GB 960, performance wise its the best available in your price range.

but wait there is also this, 280x for 5 dollars more

http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GDDR5-3GB-2xMini-Graphics-GV-R928XOC-3GD/dp/B00FONITA6/ref=sr_1_26?ie=UTF8&qid=1454659764&sr=8-26&keywords=r9+280x

Please stretch your budget to afford this or a 4GB 380 or 960 if you insist on a card that requires less power. But to be clear the 280x is noticeably faster.

Hi,

I was actually using this program to compare GPU's and i found out that the R9 280 is even faster then the R9 380, but even cheaper? is this true?!?

Thanks!

The 280 is only barely faster, please I encourage you to spend the extra 5 dollars on that 280x, they are simply going to be faster in every single scenario. If 5 dollars is the tipping point for you, id suggest saving a lil more, that 280x I linked above is the best deal I've seen on gpu's recently. Prices are up performance is down.
