Hi guys,

Something has recently gone extremely wrong with my computer and I cannot figure it out. Yesterday I took apart my computer entirely to install a new aio liquid cooler onto the cpu. It is the Nepton 240m for reference.

The install was not very smooth. After installing it the first time the computer would not start up. It seems that the first two slots of RAM, as well as the stick that was in one, had died. No pins under the cpu were bent so I cannot tell why they suddenly stopped working. I reinstalled the heat sink fearing that it was too tight but there was no change.

Now I am down to a single RAM stick and the computer turns on but a new problem arose. The computer will either freeze or reset after approximately 5-10 minutes of being on. This happened regardless of whether it was normal boot or safe mode (it even happens in the bios).

What I needed to know is
- Why would the RAM and slots have died after installingheatsink?
- What could be causing the constants freezes and reboots?

My specs are:
i7 4790k @ 4.3GHz
Asus Z97-A
Gigabyte G1 980Ti
EVGA supernova 1000W PSU
16 GB Corsair Vengeance
Nepton 240M
Samsung 840 pro 256 GB SSD

Hopefully someone has an idea of what is going on here. Thanks so much in advanced.

Thanks, I gave it another go after I posted the image. Same issues unfortunately. RAM slots still dead and 1 of my sticks is dead too. At this point I'm concerned about deciding what needs to be replaced/returned for warranty. Don't want to get another z97 motherboard and ddr3 RAM if it could be the CPU. Any ida s what could cause the computer to crash after 10 minutes of run time every single time?
