I have recently upgraded my GPU to Sapphire R9 270x Tri-x. As it needs more power so I have also updated my PSU. But while playing games or refreshing Windows Experience index when my GPU temperature goes around 70 °C, the screen goes blank and my computer freezes. After that the GPU fans goes so high that I need to do a manual reboot. From the day I have updated that GPU I am experiencing this problem and its too weird. Please help me guys.

My Computer Specs are as follows:

PSU - Corsair CS550M
GPU - Sapphire R9 270x Tri-x
Motherboard - Asus M4N68T -M LE V2
CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 955
RAM - Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz

My guess is that your system is essentially shutting itself off to protect the GPU from high temps. Granted 70 C isn't very high for a GPU I would just download MSI Afterburner and apply a custom fan curve so you don't reach temps that high.

First of all thanks for the reply.
I am also wondering, if this temperature is not that high for my gpu on load then why should my system shuts itself off!!
I have already used an application named Trixx by Sapphire to control my gpu temperature by applying a custom fan curve. But while playing games for around 15 minutes, its impossible to control the temperature from reaching 70 C. So can you please givec me a solution that I can escape this problem?
