In my motherboard manual it says
"When handling the motherboard, avoid touching any metal leads or connectors."

What does it actually mean? What are the metal leads and connectors?

Solution
Hello... Well the metal and gold connector Communication/power pins will get your finger oil or Static charge... but you can handle the fiberglass and edges, plastic parts... Top and bottom...
1) carry your MB in the box to your work area...
2) avoid walking with the MB/mem/GPU/etc in your hands, to avoid static charge...
3) Wash your hands before working on it...
4) Don't be shy, use common sense and don't force or angle anything ( take a closer look if a problem )...
5) Support the back of MB when connecting that Big PS connector to your MB, so you don't over flex the MB... and You'll be fine B )

Every time you return to do something, be sure to reground yourself (touch metal case and PSU before anything else). Also have the PSU mounted, off (the O position on the O/- switch) and plugged in to wall (grounding path).

Or use the grounding strap.
