I bought a laptop and it came with 6GB ram. It's not a "gaming laptop" but it runs some of the modern games. I was thinking about upgrading it from 6 to 8gb ram since most of the games now need at least 8.
I checked in CPU-Z and I've got: DDR3 PC3-12800 in 1600mhz (dual channel, one 2gb gb, other 4gb)
If I was to look for another 4GB ram and replace the 2gb one, should I look for exactly the same manufacturer? I'm not well informed in this stuff but I think that since it's a dual channel, it would work better if it came from the same manufacturer?
I tried to find RAM from Hyundai Electronics but with no result, suprisingly.
