Hello,
I was wondering if the AMD Athlon X4 860k is good for live streaming to Twitch using the x264 encoder with 720p 60fps (if not, then I can do 50, 40, or 30 fps). If I decided to get it, this will replace my crappy AMD A10 6700, that can barely handle 720p30 streaming, hence the reason I am using the NVENC encoder for streaming which isn't good quality. Is the upgrade worth it? And can it handle x264 streaming really well? The only game I really stream is Minecraft at the moment, but I plan to get into other games as well.
Thank you.

Current PC specs:
AMD A10 6700
Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti Superclocked
8 GB RAM

Thank you very much!
I will be sure to buy the Athlon x4 860k. I know the NVENC encoder helps a ton performance wise, but the quality isn't there for streaming bitrates.
Thanks again.

Wait, did you mean that the 860k is good for x264 streaming encoding or it is good for NVENC streaming encoding? The NVENC encoding is what I want to break out of due to its quality for streaming bitrates.

Oh, I didn't realize that. Ok. If you want to not use hardware acceleration, then buying the 860K is pointless. You need a much more powerful CPU like a core i5 or i7 or even a FX 8320.
