Hi I removed a 160GB 2.5" Hitachi HDD from a DVR device. It has a mini USB port and when I connected it to a PC the LED flashed repeatedly but the device didn't register or spin. Is there a way to unlock this and format it so it will work as a storage device with PC? I don't have the original DVR machine any more. I've viewed similar threads on this topic but haven't found a solution yet. I would greatly appreciate help! Thankyou

Hi
according to Hitachi that model is a fairly standard SATA 300 2.5" drive

needing standard SATA power & data connectors
If your disk drive is different from pictures in Hitachi spec post picture of the connector
