Hi, I have a Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) itx motherboard, and was wondering what is the best method for installing its drivers after installing Windows (my pc has no optical drive). Can I just plug in an ethernet cable and go straight to Gigabyte's website and download and install the drivers, or is there some advantage to downloading the drivers onto a flash card from another pc, then installing the drivers from the flash drive to my new pc? Sorry if this is a noob question, I'm a bit new at this.

Solution
Yes, download the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website - Gigabyte in this case.

Install from the CD that came with the motherboard - then update it from Gigabyte's website.

I just realized- will I even be able to access the internet without having installed my motherboard drivers? Or will my motherboard be ready to connect right out of the box?

Install the motherboard drivers from the CD that came with the motherboard. After that you can connect the Ethernet cable and do your updating.

Yeah, unfortunately my pc has no optical drive, so can't use cd.

Install a DVD RW drive - they are available for around $20. You can also connect an external DVD drive to your computer and then use CD/DVD.
