Plug PS3 Into Monitor?

Can I plug my PS3 into the back of my monitor? I have an HDMI to DVI that I use for my graphics card to my monitor. I could just switch em out every time I wanted to play Borderlands or Dota on the PC. Will that work or no? Also, for sound I could just plug some headphones in but I dont have any USB headphones so I'd have to get a USB to 3.5 mm converter like this one.

Yes u can.i too used hdmi to dvi cable,to connect my ps3 to monitor.for using headphones,i used rca to 3.5mm connector like this http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-107190-Stereo-Splitter-Adaptor/dp/B00DJAAFVW/ref=pd_sim_23_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=413PZegigaL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1J1FHY2CGAWK0TGYC1NC and connected my headphones with rca lead provided with ps3.it is much cheaper option.u just have to set audio output to rca in playstation menu settings to enable voice through rca.good luck.
