Hi. I havent built a pc in 10 years and everything is changing. I need tips on cooling and a new video card ,i will probally just use air cooling. I am building a budget gaming pc with no overclocking. I have the thermaltake core V31 case , Gigabyte GA-Z170X GAMING7 mother board and a WD black 1TB 3.5 HD so far. I will be using a I5 prossesor and not sure on Video card yet. I would like to go to all LEd fans. My case can hold 8 fans but i dont think i need that many. Also which type of bearings will last. I usually keep my pc on 24 hrs a day and just restart every day. I was thinking about this video card since my budget on a card would be $250 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487164. I also need a good cpu cooler and how many fans do i need to keep it cool. My last pc sounded like a vacuum cleaner cause i had so may fans LOL. Thanks for the help.

If not overclocking, then go with an H170 board, and use the savings towards a better GPU. Might be enough to get you into GTX 970 territory. The most important thing is making sure you get a proper power supply. Tier 1 or tier 2 units only. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html You can use pcpartpicker to get an idea on wattage, but an i5, with a GTX 970, a quality 550w or better is a good idea.

Just saw a great deal on the i5 6600k micro center I want to say 219. Great deal, also if you are not over clocking or doing a lot of gaming http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487093&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-Skimlinks-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=12087162&PID=3736271&SID=skim83512X1540009X96092427684ee150017cd3639ba6a670&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_source=afc-Skimlinks
I think would be a better option and save a few dollars. And keep the z170 motherboard, 20 bus lines can not beat it. And as for cooling a decent water cooler will set you back 50 to 100 but you can save 50 buy going with a 2gb video card and that will pay for a good water cooler or even a good air cooler. Raijintek and cryorig are best priced and great coolers. Both will keep a stock cpu cold. Or cold enough. Not sure if the linked worked but same 960 with 2gb for 179. Sorry so long, good luck I am doing the same looking for better cheaper help
