I've got around £600 to spend and obviously I want the best for my money and after scrawling the websites the best prices I can find are on ebuyer.com and have it down to two gaming pc's AMD Quad Core FX 4300 with gtx970 OR i5 6400 gtx960. Ideally wanted the i5 with the gtx 970 but is above budget. Do I choose better cpu or gpu?

Solution
The ZooStorm with the I5 is going to be your best bet for a build. And your best for being able to upgrade it in the future.

Ideally you would want the best of both, but if you want to get better frame rate and be able to run in ultra you want a better card. I run a gtx 980 with an amd phenom ii x6 1090t and i get 70-80 fps on gta 5 in ultra. So i would probably go for the build with the 970.

Agreeing with Eximo here, I honestly cant understand why they would sell a build with that low of a cpu and that high of a card together. I only recommended that for the 970.

The only way you would be able to switch it out for the I5 is if the board has Socket AM3/Am3+ and LGA 1151 support.

its a bad set up I know, checked some reviews for the FX 4300 and the i5 6400 beats it by miles but honestly out of the two set ups which would be best for best gaming? Will the FX 4300 drag the gtx 970 down, not allowing it to work to its full potential or is this not affected?
