I have an...
Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G3258 @ 3.20GHz 3.20GHz

From my recent thread I found out that upgrading the CPU is better than the GPU (in my situation).
What type of CPU should I get? I heard i7's are good but cost a lot. I have an iBuyPower. I am saving up for a 650$ GPU but heard a CPU is a better buy for what I have now. I want a cheap CPU that can run a GeForce GTX 980 Ti at it's utmost potential. Please help.

UPDATE-
After some research I found an inexpensive i3 Intel Processor. Will this run good with a GeForce GTX 980 Ti?

Well, just like Forever Oleg said, get at least an i5 4th gen if you want to go with Intel. If you want AMD, go with a FX-8350 or FX-8370. Have in mind that CPU is not the most important thing for gaming but you still need some power.

About i7's... Yes they are good but for normal gaming and other simple stuff that you might do on your PC its not THAT necessary, an i5 will suit you better.
If you choose AMD, stay away from FX-9xxx because they demant alot of energy and generate more heat, meaning that you'll need a good watercooler to tame them.

About the i3... Ehh, they'r weak in general, made for simple tasks usualy having only 2 cores. I think you CAN use one but I personaly would not get one for gaming.

Goodluck on your decision.
