Hello, Looking to overclock my system a little bit. I would like to get away from the stock AMD 8350 @4.0ghz. Looking for something around 4.8ghz or even 5.0ghz. I have a water cooler, though not custom built it does it's job. It's a cooler master seidon 120m Temps at load are around 35-40.

But I'm running into an issue. I can't seem to get a stable OC. Though I'm a little new at this, these bios are a little awkward for me to figure out. It's not as easy as I've messed with before. I'm rolling on a Biostar TA990FXE Mobo. And I wanted to see what I might be able to do if you guys can help. Every time I get some errors that some value isn't correct, or something. I really can't remember the error windows 10 gives me, or the computer just says windows had an error loading. And trys to fix itself, but fixes nothing.

I don't know if you guys have messed with a OC on a Biostar or know what the bios is like, but a little help understanding would be nice. Thanks.

First, just saying, not a good mobo to be OCing on. Start by making sure you have the latest BIOS and mobo drivers for the mobo. Then just start and take thing up gradually, the Seidon is an OK cooler, I've got one on my 8370 (in sig) at the moment, but would do better with something like a 212 EVO or a H7 from Cryorig
