So If I buy a laptop with 8gb SSD and 1TB HDD, will the stuff on the HDD run slower than the stuff stored on the SSD? Or Is the SSD and HDD combine and will run fast because SSD + HDD = Fast but HDD + HDD = Slow and SSD + SSD = Faster.

Im confused. is 8gb ssd enough?

The 8gb drive will probably just store your operating system, so your computer will boot up and run os very fast, the rest of your stuff will be accessible at the rate of the HDD
The stuff on the HDD will run slower than the stuff stored on the SSD

Not possible, windows takes up about 18 gb of storage.

So the ssd speeds everything up? Even my programs? I won't need to upgrade my 8gb ssd? Still a little confused.

I just don't understand how an 8gb ssd card is even enough. I will need to run vmware mostly and I need it to run faster because sometimes I hit 100% disk drive because its heavy.

Yes, the ssd will take 8 gb worth of whatever files you use the most and fill the ssd with it.

Oh the SSD choose what goes in the drive for me? Not me choosing what goes in the SSD?

So what if I stop using the most used program and switch to another program that I begin to use more, will the SSD adapt to the new change?
