Looking for a budget CPU to pair with a GTX 660

I've recently upgraded my machine, and I am trying to put together a modest gaming rig out of the spare parts for my girlfriend.

I really only need to pick up a CPU and motherboard, and I'd like to stick as close to $100USD as I can budget wise.

I already have a 500W PSU, 8GB DDR3 and a GTX660, so the only thing I was worried about was trying to avoid too serious of a bottleneck on the GPU, but if there are any other issues you guys can think of please let me know.

I haven't had an AMD chip in a few years (last one was an athlon x3 455), but I actually have a couple of AM3 (not plus) mobos, if there is anything out there that would work with that..

Thanks for any advice you are able to give me on this!

Budget wise the Pentium is a better option unless you can manage to find a Phenom X4 or X6 for your AM3 MB. The dual core is decent for current gaming but yes you will want to upgrade it later on (how long it last depends on the types of games she plays).

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for the quick suggestions!

I am kind of surprised at the pentium recommendations, I kind of thought I might run into problems on newer games with a dual core cpu?

If that's not the really the case yet, I will definitely go with a G32XX, it'd be pretty nice to have an LGA1150 board in there to justify a future upgrade as I'd be able to hand over my current i5 lol.
