So i have a problem i have had my computer for a year now and im going to upgrade in a bit. im going to add 8 more ram and a new graphics card. the only problem im encountering from the graphics card im picking is, whether or not the graphics card is crossfire compatible and if it is then is it compatible with my current graphics card. The graphics card i have at the moment is msi radeon r9 270x 2gb. The graphics card i want to get is MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Solution

sell the 270x

buy the gtx 970 and run it by itself

enjoy the upgrade

no, the 970 can easily handle more than that.

do you want to game on two monitors? If so what is the resolution of them going to be?

the 970 can handle that easily, as long as you only game on one monitor

however the 970 is so powerful that some games you could even game on multi monitor
