Theyre for jumpers. I think on some of them you change it so it supported SATA 1
If it didnt get recognised in the BIOS on older systems
If you go to the manufacturer's site, it'll tell you what theyre for
Do i need it? how do i plug it in into my pc?
left to right sata power connector, sata data connector, empty space i forgot, pins with jumper are for legacy hdd forced settings of : power management [spindle rpm low power control] , master drive, slave drive, cable select, ( for older boards when with even older south bridge chipsets & EIDE ribbon cable connectors were used), legacy molex power connector.
do you need them, i do not know, you listed no specs of your equipment, not even a complete picture of the interior of your systems i could read model numbers from.
are you running raid?
are you running sata and EIDE hard disk drives together?
