The Gskill tend to be a little stronger based on binning, and will be perfectly fine with your CPU - if your 2400 can run 1600 sticks, many are pretty much limited to 1333. The Ripjaws X were released and designed for Sandy Bridge original back at the start of 2011, the sticker is just letting folks know they are fine with the newer (at that time) gen Ivy Bridge CPUs also. RJ X work equally well with either as welkl as Haswell and are one of my Go-To's for AMD builds ;)

Hello Tradesman1,

I am not sure if my cpu can make use of the entire potential of a 1600 RAM but in any case it should work right ? Let me give you my entire spec so as to give a better idea. I mostly use the system for designing ( illustrator, photoshop) and gaming. Then there are those occasional video editings. I rarely shut down my pc and run a lot of applications at once. And i use chrome too which pretty much takes up 80% of the ram.. haha

Intel i5 2400 3.10 ghz
Intel DH77EB Motherboard
Nvidia GTX 550 TI Graphics Card (Asus)
4 GB Ram (some random company)
1.5 TB HDD
Cooler Master SMPS
BenQ 24 FullHD
Windows 10 OS

So
GSkill Ripjaws X series 8GB
