Hey guys,

I'm tying to overclock my CPU but when ever I make the changes in the BIOS they don't show up when I boot into Windows 10

I'm doing this on an AsRock z77 Pro MOB with a Corsair H100 Cooler....

Anyone know why Windows might not be showing/recognising the changes? The BIOS still shows the changes when I go back into it after a reboot.

Hope someone can help :)

You might try monitoring software like hwinfo64 and running prime95 v26.6 for around 5min. Then look at the max values in hwinfo64 and see if they show the same clock speed as your overclock is set to. If it's 4.5ghz it will show as 4500mhz. Windows doesn't always correctly display the overclock speeds in system information but using monitoring software with a known heavy load test will quickly tell you whether it's actually working or not at the overclocked speed.
