Upgrading my motherboard, processor, RAM, and case. Does this setup look good?

So since my motherboard absolutely refuses to accept my new Sapphire R9 380 4GB (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2960088/computer-ton-slower-installing-graphics-card.html) We've decided the best course of action is to just upgrade my motherboard. I want to go a bit further than that though. I want to pretty much build a new computer mixing new and old components. These are the new components I would replace (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3s3PjX + the r9 380), and the old components I would keep would be:

- Corsair CX600M power supply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139048)
- 1 TB Western Digital Blue Hard Drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136534)
- 2 sticks of 2GB kingston RAM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1YH1GV5256&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC-_-pla-_-Memory+%28Desktop+Memory%29-_-9SIA1YH1GV5256&gclid=Cj0KEQiA0Na1BRDlkqOcyczng5cBEiQAnEDa2LeSFBuIKVMrsrm52VBlKtV8XOc5mQQyFfqXr_ek4eYaAtOE8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds
- Phillps DVD-RW (I couldn't find a link to it)
- TSSTcorp DVD-ROM (same as last one)

The old components I would be replacing would be:
Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67
Nvidia Geforce GTS 250
A cooler master case (Full size I think)
XFX MD-X58I-Ch09 motherboard
My setup currently has 12GB RAM (6x2GB)

I just wanna see if any of you see any compatibility issues that would make this setup a no-go. Also if any of you have any suggestions on parts other than the ones I have listed I would love to hear them. My only stipulation is that those 4 new parts stay around the $400 range or less. I don't want to buy anything that is much more expensive. Also at this moment in time I don't plan on overclocking my CPU, but that might change in a couple years or so, so I would want to get a case big enough to fit an aftermarket cooler such as (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-CPU+Cooling-_-N82E16835103099&gclid=Cj0KEQiA0Na1BRDlkqOcyczng5cBEiQAnEDa2PuMw8wUXB7Hk3w5SBs6YIsb29ji0BfTWH5Glg5RkJ8aAnT28P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds).

Thanks guys for any suggestions!

Solution
Ok, based on that, an 1150 socket based system probably would be the way to go. The CM 212 Evo is a good budget air cooler. i think the 4690K and the Corsair cse are good choices.
An i7 920 should have no problem running that R9 380 video card. Do you have the latest motherboard Bios and AMD driver? I'm more inclined to believe the The GPU or PSU is defective if you can't get it to work. Can you check the card in another system?

Go to the thread I linked if you want the whole story, but trust me, I've tried everything. I've swapped out the PSU, tried 3 different video cards in this computer and a friend's (worked in the friend's but not in mine), clean installed every driver, and updated the BIOS. I'm a loss at this point, which is why I'm just gonna buy a whole new motherboard and processor. But honestly if you have any ideas on what the problem might have been, I'm all ears. Nothing I've tried so far has worked. Even if I solved it I don't think it's gonna stop me from getting a new setup. That motherboard is really old and XFX doesn't support them anymore. It's time for an upgrade.

Awesome! so nothing sounds incompatible to you?
