I tried shutting down my computer but the LEDs and Fans remained on. I cut the power and looked inside to see the 24-pin connector wasn't in properly. I fitted it back in but now my PC doesn't boot up properly.
I press the power on button and the LEDs and fans come on as normal, but then the PC switches off.
It then immediatley powers back up but with no image on the monitor.
Any troubleshooting theories?

Yeah managed to test it with another psu. It does the same thing. Does that mean the motherboard is dead?

I have a network card installed and a GPU. I tried with different GPUs and the same problem persisted. I also tried it with all the devices disconnected bar the processor, cpu fan and memory and it still happened. Though sometimes it doesn't shut down and boot back up, sometimes it just boots up normally without anything appearing on the monitor regardless. So its the lack of consistency thats frustrating me

Yeah its a relatively new motherboard with 3 years warranty on it so I can get it replaced no problem. Does that mean I'll have to fresh install windows on it though?

This depends on if you get a motherboard of the same type or not (as a replacement). If you get the same type/same model, then no, you won't have to reinstall Windows.

If you get a different make/model, you might be able to get away with installing the MB drivers and that could be it.
