FPS drops with GTX 970

Solution
It might be the game optimization...I have the same gpu and a i7-4790. And my fps vary from 41 to 80 (huge variation by the way). There is no reason for such drops on the 970. Note that the more open is your environment the less fps you have (at least in my case)

What are you temperatures on your cpu and gpu under load, it might be that the temperatures are causing it to thermal throttle. Another factor it could be is that it is the vram is running out, seeing as the 970 only has 3.5gbs of "fast" vram. If it is this, all you can do is turn down the resolution or texture details.

It's fps DROPS not low fps haha. Possibly running out of frame buffer and dropping. Happens all the time on my 780 ti on gta v

I mean it depends on what OP is refering to. I get low fps in the countryside and great fps in the town because of vram. Sometimes it randomly drops though in the city

Thank you for your response.

1. I have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed.
2. Temperatures just stable. GPU and CPU goes to 65 degree Celsius while gaming.
3. I get low FPS and drops only on high settings.
