Hi all.

to start with ill give u my specs:

i7 6700k Skylake
Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 5
16Gb Kingston Hyper X Fury DDR4 2666MHz C15
Radeon R9 390X
750W PSU

I can get my memory to 3000MHz (16-18-18-38) on 1.350v and at 3200MHz (17-20-20-40) on 1.40v. Both will pass all intensive benchmaks and stress tests. I played on battlefield 4 last night for 4 hours on both overlocks perfectly fine.

It's when my PC has been off for a while it wont boot first time (cold boot). It's like the PC needs to warm up first to boot the overclocked settings. Is there anyway to fix this cold boot issue? Does anyone have the ram and mobo I have to give me some pointers? Thanks.

Solution
Correct, you have 2666 and are OCing them over and above spec - can try raising the DRAM voltage to 1.4 or try adding some voltage to the MC (memory controller) - prob called the DDR or CPU VTT (DDRVTT or CPUVTT) maybe try taking it up + 0.07
