msi z170 a gaming m3 and i5 6600k for overclocking?

Solution

A nice build. Nothing more to say. The Z170 Pro Gaming is also a good board, and it doesn't really matter which of the 2 you pick.

It's a decent OC'ing board, and it should do fine with that cooler. Don't expect super low temps with that cooler though. Do you have good airflow in your case?

Also, the RAM is good. Nothing to worry about there.

The Z170-A has a bit of a bad reputation, because of many DOA's, bad build quality and so on. I think the MSI would be a better choice.
For the cooler, there's nothing better than the 212 Evo at it's price, and you should stick with it if you can spend any more money.
