Trying to wipe my SDD/HDD and reinstall Windows 8.1

Long story short, Windows 10 went wrong, it's been a few months, I've tried to reset my PC (so I already have no more files left), and the problem persists. I want to go back to the first day I installed Windows 8.1 OEM.

So to this end I want to use my original Windows 8.1 OEM disc/activation code and reinstall from absolute scratch. Just like the very first time I installed Windows. But just popping the 8.1 OEM disc it results in an error message I assume because I've got this Windows 10 still on here.

Is there anyway to format my SDD/HDD completely so I can have a totally clean install again?

BTW here's my build if that happens to matter http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Sionisis/saved/2xjMnQ

thing is if its a retail disk should be no reason unless its a hardware issue a fresh clean install of windows will overwrite anything on the drive ...

not bashing 10 just onec they got you they don't let go your not the only one who find its not so easy if at all to go back with your old os and its key .. see

like I went to Microsoft to look this up like here and first thing is windows 10

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/install-upgrade-activate-help#install-upgrade-activate-help=windows-8&v1h=winrttab1&v2h=win8tab1&v3h=win7tab1&v4h=winvistatab1

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/install-upgrade-activate-help#install-upgrade-activate-help=windows-7&v1h=winrttab1&v2h=win8tab1&v3h=win7tab1&v4h=winvistatab1...
you can look at my thoughts and opinions from here and that's how I see it

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2961033/windows-windows.html

with any windows when you do a fresh reinstall it will wioe the drive its self when you get to the partitioning stage of the installer ? Microsoft is stooping low to keep folks on 10 or to trick them into it .. its that bad for them no one wants it and there oissed and not going to have any of that [opinion]

hope I;m wrong and you got things as ''you'' want not as Microsoft feel they want [lol]

I would never do any upgrade and overwrite a good working stable os and like you see now your out 2 working os' s
good luck

I'm not looking for opinions or Windows 10 bashing. I'm just trying to fix my PC. If you have any constructive thoughts to help me out I'd appreciate it, if not please don't scare people off my thread when I need actual help.
