So i was playing black ops 3, and I look at afterburner, and somehow the GPU temp is at 91 degrees C. I only have an exhaust fan on the back. Looks like i need more cooling for my pc....lol.

I want to install a front panel fan, but I have no idea what fan to get. I just want a very efficient fan that will keep the GPU cooled down a LOT. What fan should I get? I can spend a bit over $50.

Where would i plug it into the motherboard? I see a 4-pin input labeled CHA_FAN2. Is that where i plug it in?

How would i monitor the fan? How would i turn the speed up all the way?

I don't know anything about fans, please explain everything you're talking about to me.

The only decent softwares out there are SpeedFan and MBM5. Look on the internet for a download. Alternatively, there are heaps of fan controller hardwares out there, look on newegg or amazon to find them. Hardware controllers are easier, but cost more. It's all about your preferences, but fan controllers will require unplugging all fans but the CPU fan and plugging in a PSU power lead.

Your motherboard will have a function which monitors fan speeds and will speed them up if it gets too hot in your case, but there should be software included with your motherboard which will allow you to change fan speeds manually. CHA_FAN2 is where to plug it in. ANy fan should do the job, its really down to the noise you want and the cooling you want. Look up reviews, the internet will help.

I dont think that there is any software with the asrock h97 pro...lol. I got the nf-12 already installed. It turned on when i turned my PC on, and the GPU temps went from 79 to 68. I'm assuming it is working xD.

What easy-to-use software can monitor these speeds, though?
