Will it work???

Recently I bought Palit GeForce GT 640 1GB DDR3.After reading things on graphics card box I see that this card wants PCI-EX 3.0 x16.My motherboard have 2.0 x16.Will GPU work
(There is also something thats called "PCI-EX backwards compatibility") and this card have it.

Yeah should work just fine. Its not a very good card for gaming though.

Even a TITAN X would work on 2x16 just with a very small fps difference. Better check if the gpu is compatible with your ram (4gb+) cpu, and if the psu is powerful enough

How old is that 450w and quality?

Nice CPU so you want the gt640 or a gts 450 as you said?

The best thing would be to go with a GTX 750 Ti or a 950
