I have an Asus Z97-AR mobo and the DRAM light on it is red. Computer powers up, lights on, fans running, but nothing displays on the monitor. I'm not very tech-savvy, either.

Backstory:
I built my first PC last year and it's been running perfectly well for 13 months, until yesterday when I decided that I should open it up for some light dusting.
After I finished, the monitor would not display anything, so I opened it up again and noticed the DRAM light was red. Why? It was working perfectly until I opened it up to clean!

What I've tried:
-removed both ram sticks and tried slotting both single and dual on every possible ram slot
-cleaned the sticks and slots with rubbing alcohol
-removed the graphics card and cleaned it
-unplugged all psu cables and plugged back in
-tried both loosening and tightening screws holding mobo
-removed and refitted cmos battery

Please guide me in what I can do to resolve this issue, and thanks!

Specs:
Mobo: Asus Z97-AR
GPU: Sapphire Tri-X R9 290
CPU: Intel i5-4690K
Cooler: Cooler Master EVO 212
RAM: 8gb (G-Skill Ripjaws 2x4gb) DDR3-2133
PSU: Fractal Design Integra R2 650W

Well, the light next to the DRAM is the POST pass/fail indicator for that component, so the motherboard isn't seeing the RAM. The basic options are (1) the RAM/motherboard got damaged whilst cleaning, or (2) it didn't get put back correctly.
