hi guys

so this is m first post on Toms's Hardware, and I just broke my hdd in accident :(
you know the plastic thing in connector port that hold can the cable. yeah I know, this is a nightmare. and I was looking for a new internal HDD. so when I was browsing, there's a something that called intellipower and rpm (e.g: 7200rpm, 5400rpm, etc...) so I was asking myself what's the different these? is it gonna effect my PC performance? and what's the best HDD available that cost from $50 - $65?
sorry if my English isn't good, and thanks for taking the time to read this :3

Welcome to the community, SasiExpLosioN!

It sounds pretty unfortunate that your current HDD got damaged. :( I hope you had a backup of the data stored somewhere else, so you didn't lose anything important. If the drive you that got broken was your primary (OS) HDD, I'd recommend you to get an HDD that has a fixed spin rate, preferably a 7,200 RPM hard drive. This will most definitely deliver a better performance and transfer rate, which is what your operating system needs.

Additionally, IntelliPower drives consume less current during start up allowing more drives to spin up simultaneously resulting in faster system readiness. These HDDs are usually designed for secondary or backup storage solutions.

Hope this was helpful. Keep us posted if you have more questions! :)
